Add a few more of the UCs as safeties (in terms of getting in). What’s your financial situation/what can your family afford? If the answer is that you need a lot of aid, then you may need additional safeties that are financial safeties for you.

I think you’ve got as good a shot for UCLA and UCB as any other highly qualified California applicant, which is a decent shot. I’d consider you a match for BU and GWU. UChicago and Northwestern might be reaches, only in the sense that they’re difficult to get into, period. Note for American: they’re wary of people who clearly consider them their safety (and your stats are way above their average), so make sure you really show interest in your application.
