Chance me for UCs?

Sorry to be a chance kiddy but i couldnt resist

bump (sorry)

Bump your SAT by 100 points and your chances get much better for Cal and UCLA and BME at SD. I think you’re easily into the others.

Can your UC GPA really be 4.6? You need to cap the weighted classes at 8 semesters.

UCB UCLA - low reach (SAT scores)
UCSD - match
UCD UCSB UCI - match/low match

@Waverly I’m not exactly sure, my transcript says my UC GPA is 4.6, but it’s probably 4.5 or something; not that big of a deal.

So basically if i break this SAT (like 2000 barrier?) my UCB and UCLA chances look good (and alot better) right?

2050 is average for Cal and LA. The average is higher for engineering and impacted science majors. So the 100 points would make you more viable, not give you a good chance.

I’m applying as biochem for Cal and LA; when i click the major choice, it doesn’t appear as impacted. If i apply as a nonimpacted science major would that be a better chance?

I basically have the same thought as refreshe4.
The main thing is your SAT scores.

chance me back : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1248301-chance-international-ivys-top-lacs.html

The GPA is awesome (4.6 for UC GPA seems too high though). If you can get your SAT score up by like 100-200 points, your chances at LA and Berkeley would be much better. I’d say you are pretty much in at the other schools. Good luck!

Chance me back please (:

Your GPA is very high, but your SAT is kind of low. UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UCI, UCD is a high reach, high reach, reach, match, match, match, respectively. If you can get your SAT up it will help your chances tremendously. Best of luck to you!

Yes, better chance by far if major is not impacted.

UC GPA is capped at 4.4, they only accept 8 semesters of weighted classes.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I guess I’m cringing on that SAT score >.> I ended up applying as biochem for SD, LA, and Berk; I’m relatively sure that’s not an impacted major right? Wanted to increase my chances (even if it is only by a little)
