Is there anything else that I can do to improve my chances at berkeley?
thank you (:

oh I forgot to add

our school's valedictorian isn't the person who has the highest GPA, it's any student who got over a 4.0 cumulative GPA
so for 2009 grads, there should be about 20-30 "valedictorians"

Your overalls are almost exactly at Cal's averages (you are about a 4.15 UC GPA with a 2030 SAT and Cal's averages are 4.21 UC GPA with a 2029 SAT). In addition, your IB Diploma, strong ECs, well-roundedness with awards in multiple areas, volunteer work, and business experience will make you a very good match for Cal and UCLA, especially if your SAT IIs are in the 700s as you expect. Unless you are an engineering major, I would be shocked if you didn't get accepted at Cal or UCLA (and in my opinion, you will probably be accepted at both if you apply to both).

Cal/UCLA/UCSD--Match
UCSB/UCI/UCD--Safe Match
UCSC/UCR--Safety
UC Merced--100% guaranteed

Best of success to you.

My ultimate goal is to major in business and for that I would have to put pre-business administration/undeclared as my major for my college application. Would this hurt my chances of getting in?

I'd say applying as a pre-business/undeclared will not hurt you, since your background and this summer's work experience is the type of stuff they are looking for.

You'll need at least a 3.45 GPA or so at UC Berkeley to get into the Haas Business School, though--so work hard once you get Cal to admit you.

anyone else?
