I am in-state. My LORs, ECs, and essays are pretty good IMO. Thank you.

It would be a high match to low reach for you right now. Your cumulated uwGPA at 3.7 is near 25% although you do have an upward trend and you ACT 28 is below 25%. EC is okay although not spectacular. You may want to bring up your ACT a little bit to increase your chance.

I just had posted this in another thread, so since I had link handy thought you might be interested in LSA specific data. It is for enrolled freshman, not admits. Data on admits is probably higher.

That’s a serious upward GPA trend. If you get deferred in EA so they can wait to see first semester(trimester?) grades, that should help you. Can you take ACT again to show if you get deferred? Would they add to your file? That would be a boost if you could get your score up a couple points.

^ The median GPA of 3.9 is actually higher than the average admitted GPA of 3.85 while the median ACT is 1 point lower than admission, however, that 1 point difference may also be due to the exclusion of CoE data. For chancing, the admission stat is more important than the enrollment stat.

Would it matter if I take the ACT for the 5th time? I email the admissions office and they said the number of times you take it does not matter.

5 times? Oh wow. Poor you. What kind of prep you do?

And bilcsho, I know but couldn’t find admission data when I poked around. All kinds of stuff is restricted access. Anyway, like you said, it would be higher, so imagine giving it a nudge that way.

It wouldn’t be a terrible idea to take the ACT again, but wow that is a lot of ACT test you have done lol. I would have shot myself after 3 times (I took it twice)

I’d say you have a fairly good shot. Just relax now and wait for your decision, if you get deferred try to bump your act score up by a point or 2

I took it as a sophomore, but I have no idea if that counts. I did sign up for the October ACT and am constantly deciding if I should take it or not. I want to retake it because even though I might only go up 1 point, that now puts me in the 50% range instead of the 25% range. I am apply EA but am not expecting to get it. Ill most likely get differed for RD.

The admission stat data is on the admission office website, but it is for the whole school. The mid 50 ACT is 29-33, and mid 50 SAT is 2030-2250. CoE also has their stat on the web but it is not updated yet.
