Match or Safety?

bump............

bump..........

You're most likely in, good chance at Honors (if you are applying to the college of LSA) and possible merrit scholarship since you are in-state.

bump...............

match (GPA is low, but in-state, so it's fine). Don't think honors or money though, I'd think those would be reserved for people with slightly higher ACT and GPA, but it's still possible. good luck, though I don't think you'll need it.

oh, jk about gpa...i read it wrong! so you're a safety, though I'm still a little unsure about honors. might be a little bit low for that.

Safety , decent shot at LSA Honors.

Bumping a thread 3 times in 23 minutes won't get you many results though:)

vc08
lol when I read GPA is low

What about merit-based money?

It's 1:30am and I can't sleep. I think I had too much coffee in the afternoon.
Is LSA honors difficult to get into?

Merit money is possible, but nothing to count on.

Honestly, I don't know much about the honors at UM. I think they take a top % from all of the applicants and put them in honors, but normally it is like the top 5-8% of those admitted (though that is based on my knowledge with other various institutions, not specifically UM). So it just depends on the applicant pool. I would think you have a shot, but don't know how great. Especially since LSA is such a big program, that's where most people apply. It depends on essays and stuff as well.

depends on location. I know a friend who got a 19 on ACT that got in ... from Hamtramck..

Michigan Offers not much Merit money ... 5,000 is prob the most

obvious safety
not sure why you posted this..

I know a girl who had a 18 and a 3.8 at king HS in DET.
They gave her a full ride, but here is the kicker...
at king 50% of your grade is attendance, so if you come to class, and get a 50% on every single assignment, you still get a 2.0

so why did they give her a full ride?

need-based something
idk which one she got.
she just said it was full

Michigan Law now states NO MORE affirmative action
