Feel free to suggest any other top economics programs for me! Don't need any safeties because I have a few great universities near me in Canada that I can definitely get into.

Do you have sat II scores? If you want to get into Georgetown they basically require you to have three.

@longislandkid123‌ I will by the time I apply. I cant really predict what they will be so forget about Georgetown. Chance me for the other schools I listed.

Well, I like your EC’s, scratching my head on the no AP’s, are there Canada schools your considering?

High Reach:

i think youre in for claremont kckenna and stern. ucla and cornell are low reaches. rest are reaches.

sat is a bit on the low side.

chance me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1684824-chance-me-to-virginia-tech-georgia-tech-cal-poly-uiuc-usc-uc-berkeley-industrial-engineering.html#latest

@indianboy2400‌ what do you think my chances would be of just UPenn not wharton?

@asukumar Probably a mid reach. Scores are still a bit on the low side for an Indian applicant (like myself), and plus you are technically an international. Be sure to apply to U of T, McGill, and Waterloo in Canada because they have pretty decent econ/business programs too.

@indianboy2400‌ Yeah I’m applying to a lot of top universities in Canada as well. Just looking at my options. I’m planning on doing my MBA in the states anyway, so I would mainly be looking at prestige vs cost.

A slight correction to a couple of above posts, who rate the following in re your chances:

Medium Reach:
Cornell

Low Reach:
NYU Stern
UCB
UCLA
Amherst
Georgetown

Match:
Claremont McKenna

The facts are: I agree with the high reaches (not listed here) but Claremont McKenna is rapidly on the rise, and - with this year’s entering lass(2018) is the most selective LAC in the nation, with an admit rate of 10%. This place it as more selective than Cornell , your ‘medium reach,’ (14%), as well as all of your ‘low reaches.’
Just want OP to go into the application process with eyes wide-open!

bump

Solid chances at UCB, UCLA and NYU

To get into an ivy , you HAVE to focus on what separates you from the applicant pool. Your scores would fall in the lower half of the applicant pool so you HAVE to stand out. Your essay has to speak to the admissions officers and convince them to admit you. You do stand a very good chance at UCLA though. Berkeley is a match. The IVY’s listed there are completely elusive in your case unless you really have something unique.
