Thank you in advance for your help! Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You should be okay at UCD with that ACT score (your GPA and resume are very solid), but it would help to raise your ACT test score a point or two for USC and UCLA. Good luck. You may fare better with the SAT test in the Fall.

Thank you so much! I forgot to mention above, but do SAT II or Subject Tests strengthen your application at all? They used to be required for many UC’s, but they have since been removed in requirements for Fall 2012 applicants.

That is because they aren’t weighted as heavily as the rest of your application.

How do you go AP Calc BC Junior year and only get a 27 on math ACT?

You have a solid safety for UCD. As far as USC and UCLA go, bring your ACT up - focus on that a lot over the summer and you should be fine. Your extracurcciulars are pretty good and so is your work/volunteer experience. If you find the ACT easier, maybe just focus on that more than the SAT - a lot of people find it easier so you might have a better chance there. Anyways, good luck!

Chance me back? :] Appreciate it!

UCD- safety

UCLA and USC- raise your SAT/ACT scores
You have had a very good high school record so don’t worry

I got a 27 on math because the math on the ACT covers Geometry, Algebra, and the basics. It only introduces 4 Trig problems as well. I took Geometry in the 8th grade and Algebra in the 7th, that’s why the math portion is semi tricky for me. Since I’ve been learning Calculus for the past two years, it is difficult to work back after being so ahead.
