I am a first year student from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am applying to SEAS as a second year transfer. I know it's really competative to get in.
Creds:
first semester of college: 15 credits, 4.0
Intro to Electrical Engineering
University Physics II--E&M +Lab
Focused Inquiry (Required English Course)
Calculus II <--I had to take this again because I got a 4 on the AP test my junior year in high school
Participated in SWE, IEEE, and MAJOR: Orchestra. Co-principle of the 2nd violins of the orchestra...didn't sign up for credit--took 5 hours of my week.

This semester: going back to take required courses for UVA because I got AP cred here with 3's but UVA won't take them. 19 credits, 4.0 so far

Chemistry+Lab
University Physics I--Mechanics +Lab
Orchestra
Focused Inquiry II--required English course
Differential Equations

Applying for the Electrical/Computer Engineering program.

I have a note for my high school transcript--3.7 weighted, lowest grades in AP Chem and AP Physics (C and C+ respectively). Straight A's first semester of senior year help?

I think I have good EC's? I'm taking 19 credits this semester--had to pay overboard so I can show on my transcript that I am actually taking orchestra and putting in 5 hours a week...because it is very demanding (and I only get 1 credit for it!). Also, I'm going back to take those courses, so i think I am going to put that in there somewhere that otherwise i would move on here...but I want to be in UVA's program, so I am specifically retaking for them.

Working on the essay. I have a sincere reason for wanting to go there.
