<p>Post Star Teen Excellence Award Nominee(November 2012)- nominated for award for going beyond academics and athletics to identify outstanding young people between the ages of 13 and 19 who have demonstrated personal growth, leadership and innovation along with a commitment to community. </p>

<p>Ronald McDonald House Teen Board Vice President(SR), Teen Board Member(JR) and Teen Ambassador(SO, JR, SR years):(Heavily Involved)</p>
<p>Working with fellow students from around the region, we have worked together to raise money for the house, as well as worked individually with families during the "Big Give'' each year. Families have inspired me with their strength and undying courage during such a hard time. However, the encouragement I've received from my community through their support in my various fundraisers has been overwhelming. I'm glad I could spread the message of an important cause that is so very close to my heart.</p>

-my fundraising efforts in my community have included selling "Candy Grams" for the Help with All Your Heart Campaign, many years of caroling to collect donations throughout the school and at the victorian street walk, and organizing "wish list" donation drives and donation campaigns.

-Junior year
-worked along side Pam Driscoll and the Cornell Cooperative Extension to pinpoint health issues in our school regarding our schools rank in the regional obesity epidemic. After auditing a nutrition course through Cornell, we worked to promote healthy eating and activeness throughout both the Elementary and High Schools.</p>
