*Obviously they are allllll reach schools. I just want to see where I have a chance at.

I want to do Early Decision NYU . What are your thoughts?

P.S. I have a bunch of other information (such as volunteer work and other club memberships in my school) but I didn't include them..

Many of the schools you have on are reaches…Brown, Bucknell, Georgetown, Vassar and maybe even Cornell and BC.

Lehigh and GW, and BU should be matches.

NYU probably in but it may be a deferred until spring decision. The ACT is what hurts you, not sure (can’t remember if NYU superscores when DS applied), if they do than your ACT will move up a little to a 29 which would help, but most students are in the 30 range. However the plus is it looks like you are from NY, so that helps instead of being OOS.

Brown, Cornell and Georgetown seem out of the picture in this case. Your grades are good but scores aren’t cutting it for those top schools.
NYU, Bucknell and BC are more match/reaches. I feel like you might have a shot at ED NYU.
I’m not too sure about the other schools
Good luck

Among the 28 Jesuit colleges and universities, Georgetown is by far the top Jesuit university, though BC comes close. Although it’s much smaller than the others, the College of the Holy Cross is considered one of the best Jesuit colleges in the country and is also standardized test optional. You may want to consider HC. GT seems unlikely, BC is a reach. Good shot at Lehigh, American, GWU, Vassar, Bucknell, NYU. The rest are unlikley.

Thanks everyone. And yes I definitely know that those schools are mostly reaches. I just want to see if I should bother applying, you know? But I’m definitely serious about NYU, BU, BC and LeHigh.

And unfortunately bulletandpima, NYU doesn’t defer for ED. It’s a straight out acceptance or rejection. =(

Anymore opinions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

bump =) ! please help!

Please chance me!!! I would very much appreciate it!

still need help! please help! why isn’t anyone helping? =( =(

Maybe I missed it, but what is your intended major? Nobody can give you real suggestions unless we know the major. I.E., NYU business, reach, NYU sociology probably a match. Cornell architecture probably not, other majors may be a match.

Honestly you do have a lot of reaches, but the only way to be accepted is to apply. NOne of us sit on the admissions board and there might be something that you have not enlightened us of that could be a hook.

Your ACT hurts you for the majority of the schools on your list.

I’ve left out my EC but there is a lot. I just feel like you guys may not be able to judge me based on those. And I get that you guys are not on admission boards but maybe you have the experience by getting into those colleges or know someone who has and can help me out.

My intended major for any school would be undecided in arts and science. (Except in Cornell, I may consider the School of Human Ecology).

I know my ACT sucks. I’m taking it again in October and hopefully it’ll go up by at least 2 points. Fingers crossed!

And again, I know they’re all reaches and I’m probably/most likely not applying to all of them. But if anyone can say from their experience and observations that I’m a match for (whatever school), I’d like to know so I should apply to it and check it out. Granted, I should probably apply to them all for a definite answer but why bother with more supplements of definite rejections?

Anywhoooo, I really do appreciate everyone’s insight! More would be greatly appreciated too!
