I’m going to request summer, then. Maybe I’d get my results faster, too, since I’m willing asking for them to accept me for summer. I think the only reason it’s not so popular, is because everyone wants a nice, long summer to hang with their friends before they leave. But sometimes, you have to think what carries the most pro’s in the situation, and summer is easily the winner.

Chance me. I.B. student 3.4 to 3.5 recalculated UCF gpa. I want to go there. 24 on ACT taking it next week and shooting for a 27. what are my chances at ucf summer B

Honestly, I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting into summer B. If it was fall, it would be a different case. Is the GPA weighted, or unweighted? All in all, though, you’re ACT score (if you’re able to get it up to that 27) will make you a solid fill in for summer. Good luck! Also, is anyone familiar with the 2012 essay admissions prompt? I’m only finding the 2011. Actually…am I supposed to do the 2011 one, or I SHOULD be doing 2012 because that’s what I’m applying for…right? I’m a goof sometimes, sorry:D

From my knowledge from friends going to UCF the essay has been the same for 7 straight years. And my GPA is recalculated to a 3.5 weighted UCF. Is it good enough for Summer B?

I think you’ll have no problem:) Defiently ahead of me, especially with the ACT. Mine was horrid, but taking it again this saturday, crossing my fingers. Would you be kind enough to lead me to a link, or post the essay questions here? I’d be thankful, I have no where to look:)

Oh, and as a side note, I imagine you would be able to get in, even with a 24. There statistics say 22-25, but raising it for the sake of scholarships and such is a good idea, too.

You can only see the essay prompts when you start the application process. Start it around August/September that’s what I am going to do. And thanks for responding to me btw. I’ll also be taking the ACT this weekend as well.

No problem, that’s what we’re here for, to respond to you (Hopefully with answers, lol). I’m actually going to be sending all my things in very early august, I heard that’s best. Applying early increases your chances of acceptence, just because the longer you wait, the more competitive it becomes. But, as of what I’ve heard, the questions have been the same for about 7 years. You’re given four questions, and you pick two to answer. Simple enough, I love writing:)

Are you applying for summer?

Yes, summer of 2012. I’m out of state, but was originally born in sarasota, as stated above (now in illinois). Attending a florida college would mean my tuition is covered. I’d be insane not to take that offer. Plus, it’s florida, which I haven’t been to sense we moved:) (Other then visiting FSU…should have seen UCF instead).

Yeah I am going to go visit UCF in 2 weeks.

You MUST reply back then, or post something. If you could take pictures, or a video, and make it so that we could see it, that would be great! I’ll be walking into attending the school blind, if accepted. Haven’t seen the campus, other then in pictures and videos.

I’ll do that for sure! I really can’t wait to go. I’m so excited. It’s the perfect university for me.

I know. Like that feeling of perfectness. Like I can’t find enough information about UCF. I’ve looked at every video I could find (Spirit splash:2010 is a favorite, it looks so insane!) It’s just perfect for me. So many students, in a huge city. I’ll still get the ‘big town’ feel I get from chicago:)

Ohhh wow Chicago. I’ve never been there. Lol. I’ve only been out of state once and I live 2 hours from Orlando.

The average accepted GPA for UCF from my school in particular used to be a 3.42, but just changed to a 3.37. I do go to a really good high school, though. So maybe they take into consideration how tough it is at my school to get a high GPA. But I thought I should let you guys know, kinda gives me more hope. :)

I’m headed down to Orlando soon to go Apt. Hunting. I’ll see if I can’t get some pictures for yah, fluidity!

Does anyone know if UCF uses psychology and law studies as academic electives into recalculations of high school gpa

I’m pretty sure it counts as an elective. Except maybe psychology, which could be considered a science. If it’s AP psychology, even better the chance they’d count it.

They told me they count it I’ll prob have a 3.4 UCF recalculated gpa. I’m scared that it’s not good enough to get into summer b there
