Hi there,
I am in International student applying to be in the Class of 2019 applying for Economics.
My SAT 1 score is 2200, 770 M, 730 CR, 700 W in one sitting however, I scored a 7 in my essay. My SAT 2 scores are terrible at 730 Math II and 720 Bio E but I only had one opportunity to sit them in January.
I do A-Level and scored 4 A’s at AS in Biology, Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics. At A2 I am predicted 3 A’s and an A in my EPQ which is a 5000 word optional research project that I wrote on Financial bubbles. I also achieved an A in my A-Level arabic a year early.
ECs (?)
+I play golf for my country’s national team and my school team
+I was team manager of an F1 in schools team that competed in the world finals. (Google it :D) As it is a completely student led initiative I had to organize everything from the logistics to the sponsorship. I managed to get sponsorship from McLaren Automotive (It was actually signed off by the CFO himself) and set up a pit visit to the Red Bull F1 garage during the Formula 1 race weekend.
+I started the Economics society at my school, weekly session and bi-weekly debates.
+I have completed an internship at a government economic research centre and am currently liaising with the director of geopolitical and international studies program completing my own research paper.
+I took part in a country wide virtual stock-exchange competition where schools have 1 team that must invest in stocks during certain trading periods giving almost weekly presentation on their strategy and rationale behind decisions.
- I spent 16 weeks volunteering at a government run primary school for the mentally challenged (2 hours a week mostly helping out in classes and teaching english)
+I volunteered for 20 weeks at a hospital mainly working with nurses in the accident and emergency ward (2.5 hours a week)
+I spent a week in Thailand teaching English to students and helped to build new classrooms.
+I completed the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver awards (Again google should help )
+I was selected for a prestigious scholarship program where only the Top 10 students (academically) are chosen.
+I completed a CMI Level 3 qualification designed for Junior Managers.
I am applying to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford (My insane reaches), Columbia, Dartmouth, Duke, UPenn, UC Berkely (Reaches), UCLA, UCSB, UCSD.
Phew, that took forever!
