I’m interested in Barnard for its all-female atmosphere and rigorous academics, but not sure if I should go for it. Also, does anyone happen to know if Columbia’s student publications are open to Barnard students? I’d like to keep going with journalism, even though neither school offers that as a major (such a bummer)

Yes. Absolutely. No limits.

Kids these days have to retake a 2120 SAT??

Anyway, to address your post about journalism, as a Barnard student you can be involved in the Spectator, which is the Columbia student newspaper. Being in NYC, it stands out from other student newspapers because of the diversity of stories you get to cover. I really loved being a part of it! I was a photographer though
