Chance me I suppose

White male here 22. Local Georgia resident all my life
3.8 GPA with 33 transfer hours for GT.

However, I have no math classes in there and only 2 science classes (Biology 1101 and Lab). I want to go to Georgia Tech for industrial Design. My original plan was GT but I have since got accepted to SCAD, the only other school in my state that offers the program. However, SCAD is MEGA expensive so I would like to go to Tech. My grandfather went there as well and I would love to go to school in Atlanta.

Here's the thing, I have not completed 3 of the 5 classes to transfer in for my program. Those being Calculus 1, 2, and Physics (I have completed english 1101&1102). I pretty much applied at this point in a last ditch effort to save money instead of going to SCAD and if I do not get into tech I'll be going to Savannah in January.

Here's what I think* I have going for myself
-I applied within hours of the application being open and all my documents were in by the next day (basically just waiting for a yes at this point)
-less than 5 students have applied to my program each year for 5 consecutive years and in 2012 there was an average GPA of 2.97 among those accepted......that's horrible....I feel like them accepting me would actually make them look good as far as industrial design goes.

-I hear Tech is really aching for local students.

They make it seem like they're pretty hardcore about having your required classes done beforehand but I can't help but feel that is all aimed at lowering competition amongst engineering students. That was also the first thing an advisor asked me when I visited the school if I had finished all my "required classes".

On the requirements section I filled in BIOL 1101 and Lab as part of my required classes. Do you think they will let me substitute because if thats the case I at least have 4 classes to fill on their list.
