I decided that I would try applying to one Ivy league school and right now I would really like to go to Yale. Though, I know it would be a huge reach, thanks to any help that can be given.

thats a pretty big change in gpa when weighted, how many ap/honors courses have you taken

You have pretty low chances with a relatively subpar UW GPA and a low ACT score for Yale.

Fresh. year I took 3 honors
Soph year I took 4
Junior year I took 5
Senior will probably take 4 or 5
Junior year 2 of my honors classes were APs
and Senior year I will take 4 and maybe 5
Actually I believe my weighted gpa woule be 4.77
and unweighted would be just less than 4
I have only gotten one B in my hs career and it was in my last semester.

Then how is your UW GPA 3.80?

Well, I guess UW would be just less than 4. UW is out of 4 right? so I guess it would be just under four since I’ve only gotten one B. My original post I believe is messed up. sry

one B will put you around a 3.96-3.98 UW in terms of a 4.0 A, 3.0 B scale.

your grades are obviously strong, ACT and ECs not so much.

Thanks for the help.
Sorry about my stupidity when it comes to GPA
I’m taking ACT again so I think I can bump it up a point, and I will be on my school’s yearbook so hopefully that will help in the EC department.

The absolute number of Honors and AP classes doesn’t matter, rather you will be assessed in relation to what is offered at your HS (ie. how rigorous was your course load?).

It was clearly rigorous regardless of what is offered at his school.
