Chance me, I'm nervous waiting for acceptance!

UC GPA-3.3
SAT I - 2060
SAT II - 760 US History, 730 Lit
AP - 5 US History, 5 English Language, 3 European History
Essays - Good

EC - This is my weak spot. I have over 300 hours at my local senior center, I've been volunteering there since freshman year, because I have to take care of my grandma everyday afterschool. So I didn't have time for other ECs.

First generation college student
Low income
Applied for Political Science major

Honestly your UC GPA is kind of low for Irvine. However, your SAT scores look nice and first generation and low income might help.

low chance sorry but good luck.

gpa is not too strong, good sat, excellent sat ii, good aps, ec is limited in scope (300 hours is a lot though). first generation+low income help. maybe 30-40% chance?

yeah, your gpa is quite low :…but everything else seems to be spot on giving you a good chance. but EC is taken into account seriously so it might hurt you just a bit.

Disagree. If you wrote strongly about your commitment with your grandma and how it positively impacted your life - that EC could take you there. They like to see commitment.

I agree with collegebound, with a good essay I think you have a fair chance. Thankfully, Irvine is holistic, so i believe you have a good shot.

at least you got a better chance than me xD sigh
i go to an IB school where it’s virtually impossible to get a 4.0 & my GPA is lower than yours

theReach, I like to check the Applicant Stats at the top of this page to give me an idea how I compare to others - and I’m hoping for a miracle!

I’m nervous too and check my UCINetID page daily. UCI is my 1st choice.

Has anyone signed up for the “Stay-Over” Program?
