Chance me? In state

Mecklenburg County (Ughh, which is more competition)
Asian female (MORE competition)

4.8 Weighted GPA (Straight As) 4.00 unweighted
Top 3%

600 Reading
640 Math
680 Writing
1920 Superscore

AP : English Lit & Language, Chemistry, Calc BC, USH, Earth Env., Statistics

Extra curriculars: National Honor Society, Hospital Volunteer (50 hours), Disabled Children Babysitting Community Service (100 hours), Community Service Clubs, Diversity Club (Leadership position - founder), Tutoring Club, Track 1 year

I also did Summer Ventures.

Okay, you have a pretty big chance of getting in, so don’t sweat it dude. Your weighted is way high enough to get you in; the average incoming freshman’s was a 4.47 and yours is way above that. Your class rank is wonderful; your unweighted shows that you haven’t just been taking challenging courses but slacking off on them but rather maintaining a really good work ethic throughout your entire high school career. SATs are good, and extracurriculars make you an even stronger applicant.

I’d say, don’t worry about a thing.

Your gpas are good, but you SAts are low. You have good community service, but lack leadership. You probably have a 50-75% chance of getting in, closer to the 75.

In without a doubt.

Doberhound had a point with your SAT’s being a bit on the low side, most of my friends here at Carolina have at least a few of their section scores well into the 700’s, but with your GPA, you should be just fine. 93% chance from me.

Omgoodness… CC kids and there SAT worries. ilygurlie… you are perfectly qualified. I wouldn’t even think twice about your SAT scores. They are FINE.

Yeah don’t sweat about your SAT scores. You WILL get in (I know you won’t believe me, but that is natural I suppose).

Summer Ventures is a big in-state boost. And, though it varies by school, Mecklenburg County has a great track record with UNC-CH because they, along with Wake County, do the best job of preparing their students for college. I’d say CH is a solid match for you.

You’re in-state. 'Nuff said. You will get in. :)

“Your gpas are good, but you SAts are low.”

Not for in-state applicants. (Re SATs.)
