<p>My GPA: 3.2. SAT: 1800. act: 27: doing well since last semester. got 3.78 last semester in junior. Now as senior doing well and getting A's in all subjects including AP CAL and AP Chem. No need for financial aid.</p>

<p>i think CMU is reach for your GPA and SAT. Good thing is that ur GPA is getting higher! keep working on them. Also, before you apply, make sure you improve your SAT score. It's always better to have better GPA and SAT scores than just applying early.</p>
<p>extreme reach. not even good enough for lower ranked state schools like UVA, Umich, UNC, UCLA. What is your TOEFL score? If your SAT CR score is lower than 650 then you can submit your TOEFL score. BUT when i asked about TOEFL at my Carnegie Mellon alumni interview yesterday, he said CMU doesn't take TOEFL. so i say you have a very very low chance. btw the average gpa for CMU is 3.7.</p>
