I was very sick my sophomore year of High school so I didnt really do so hot. It brought down my GPA. I was hoping that my standardized test scores, extra Cirrc, and my interest ( I have visited, interviewed, and attended all their information sessions in my area) would boost my chances. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!

Bump

Your GPA will deprive you from admission to most of those schools. You can not replace years of relaxation in school with one good score! Because of your score you ought to be super smart and as such you could have achieved a much higher GPA than that with a moderate amount of school work! And you did not provide any excuse for that either!
Very top schools do not just look for smart kids (they have plenty of those already), they care more about kids who show they are willing to devote time to do disciplinary work!

@uclaparent9 he did state a reason and honestly I think that despite that sub par GPA, you will have a chance into atleast one of those top colleges. You are defintely bright and have great extracurriculars so good luck

Your scores are phenomenal, and if the GPA has a strong upward trend, I don’t think colleges will dismiss your application just because of Sophomore year. Despite the lower class rank, I wouldn’t be surprised if you made it into a couple of these. Just make sure to ace your first semester of senior year, and good luck.

Thank you guys so much! I really appreciate it.
