<p>Please give me your advice to improve my app for this fall!
Please bear with me. First off: intended major- biochemistry
GPA: Currently: 3.6 (weighted)
- Ya its bad but all Bs freshman and soph year in all honors 1 ap. Straight As this year all APs and honors (save one B last semester in honors precalc first semester) </p>
<p>Tests:
APs: Taking Chem and World in two weeks, APUS: 5, and next year taking AP Stat, AP Calc, AP Lit, AP Gov, AP Bio
SAT: CR: 620 Math: 680 Writing: 650 (i'm retaking)
ACT: 32 (36 sci, 35 writing + essay (9) = 32 writing overall, 26 reading (yikes!), 30 math)
-Retaking ACT again in a couple weeks to bring up my reading and math score
SAT IIs: Taking Math 2 and Chemistry this saturday
Possible Recs:
Teacher: it'll be good</p>
<p>ECs:
-Band/Drumline: all four years, section leader two years (this is a summer thing as well as fall), 2 superior ratings in percussion ensembles and 1 piano concert solo thing (it was just at a concert with the band I don't know if thats important or not)
-Lifeguard in the winter and summer (about 3 hours a day winter, 5 hours summer?)
-Boy scouts: many many many leadership positions, Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow member (if it matters), 2 high adventure camps as Crew leader
-Varsity Swim AND Dive team: all four years, state 2 years (with the team not individual but maybe individual next year), not captain next year
-Water polo: 1 year JV, 1 year JV captain (with some varsity play but thats unimportant), 2years varsity (next year captain)
-Habitat for Humanity: One week in the summer out of the state every year
-Rebuilding Together: A couple days each month in the summer where this organization helps rehab houses for people in need
Young Dems (2009-2011) and Students for Obama(2008-2009): President 1 year (next year), worked on Obama campaign, worked on local congressman's campaign
-This organization (can't remember the name) through my church in the summer where I taught kids how to swim last year and this coming summer
-Trying out for NHS next year</p>

2nd Choice: University of Michigan (a couple legacy grandparents, one was a dean)
3rd Choice: University of Wisconsin
other places: Mizzou (like 5,000 legacies here)
