chance me Notre Dame and Middlebury

I am currently a high school senior from FL and am applying RD to both Notre Dame and Middlebury. I go to a competitive private school in south fl, but i attend on a full academic scholarship. I want to major in biology and go to medical school, so I’m looking for a good premed program (I know its especially good at ND)

I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA (sophomore year wasnt great, but every semester has been better since). Right now I’m taking 5 AP classes and 1 honors. Ill have 10 APs when I graduate.

I have a 1520 SAT and plan on submitting. My SAT IIs aren’t good so I’m not going to submit those.

I was just named a national merit semifinalist

Ap classes that i’ve taken so far and scores are: biology (5), world history (4), lang (5), comp gov (5), and us history(5)

My senior year classes are: AP calc AB, AP enviro, honors economics, AP lit, AP gov, and AP physics 1

ECs: I’m the vice president of my schools model un team and i have a few awards both national and local; 4 years varsity soccer (captain senior year); 500 community service hours (i’ve dedicated a lot of time to one organization specifically); president of key club; officer of scholar athletes club; i raise money every year to send a child in indonesia to school; political activism club

any insight helps thanks!

@cucumbers1234, hi

I’ll leave the analysis of the numbers to others who are better able to comment. But my first question is if either Midd or ND are your first choice, why aren’t you applying to one ED? I’ve no specific insight, but history and the uncertainty about COVID in the 2021/22 academic year (strongly) suggests that if I were in Admissions, I’d lock in a larger-than-normal share from the ED round, precisely because they’re committing to coming.

You may want to search “The 25 Best Colleges for Pre-meds,” a ranking in which Middlebury appears.

You have a very strong profile.

Notre Dame overlap schools for applications are:

Vanderbilt, Boston College, Northwestern University, Harvard, Duke, Holy Cross, and Villanova.

Middlebury College overlaps are:

Amherst College, Bowdoin College, Brown University, Dartmouth College, Williams College, Yale, Harvard, and Princeton.

Hi,

I’m applying ED to dartmouth, but midd and ND are close contenders for my second choice!

Then also consider Colgate.
