Chance Me? (NYU, Northeastern, Eugene Lang, Drexel, USoCal, DePaul, Syracuse)

Hi everyone! I just finished my junior year today and I'm preparing to apply to schools in the fall. Regardless of what school I end up at, I'm planning on double majoring in Music Industry and Political Science.

PSAT: 162 sophomore year, 195 junior year
SAT: first try was 1830, took the June SAT but scores haven't been returned yet
Honors Courses: Honors English 1, Honors English 2, Honors History 1, Honors Biology, Honors Latin 4
AP Courses: US History (4); took English Language & Composition, European History, and Music Theory this year; taking English Literature & Composition, Physics 1, and US Government/Politics next year

-3 years as bass guitarist of jazz band
-4 years as percussionist of advanced concert band
-2 years as timpanist of regional youth orchestra (outside of school); performed at venues like Carnegie Hall, Kimmel Center, and Princeton University as a member

-started my own music blog where I review songs, albums, and concerts (I'm applying to NYU Tisch's Recorded Music program, so I'm hoping to use this as my creative sample for my portfolio)
-occasional writer for school newspaper

Job/Work Experience:
-Cashier at Shop-Rite

Thanks!

USC and NYU will be reaches because of what your UW GPA is and because of your test scores. Take the SAT again to get a better idea of where you fit. I think you have a very good shot at Syracuse. However, none of these are out of reach because you have clearly shown passion and dedication to a subject area

Syracuse is a low reach but has great marching band

Just as an update, I received my June SAT scores today and ended up getting a 1980 (CR- 690, M-600, W-690). I’m pretty happy with the score, but I still feel like its a little on the lower side for some of the schools I want to get in to. Thoughts?
