Hey everyone! So I was wondering if any of you who may come across this thread could potentially chance me. I am an out of state CC student from Oregon who is applying for transfer to USC. I am a Psychology major who is also taking pre-med coursework. I was not a good student at all in high school, but when I started college, I made the necessary changes within myself and my habits, to be in a situation where I can succeed. I am really proud of myself for my academic turnaround since high school, and I really hope they see that.
Transfer students who have taken over 30 credits at a CC do not need to provide USC with ACT or SAT scores.
Prerequisite Completion: I will have the pre-reqs completed by the end of Spring term before transfer. There are only two of them, Introductory Psychology and Foundations of Statistics. I did the Psychology course last year, and I am doing the Statistics course this upcoming quarter. So I will be all good to go with that.
I have completed 66 quarter credits so far, and plan to have 104 completed by the time of transfer.

EC’s: I am heavily involved in community service activities. I am apart of the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program. What we essentially do is start junior youth groups in many communities around the Portland metro area, and we go out and serve our communities in numerous ways by doing service projects. Our goal is to get young students between the ages of 11-14 to develop a sense of self-purpose by understanding that they are not too young to make a change in the world. That is my primary involvement in regards to ECs.
I believe that the only way to go about life is to dream big, and to control the things that you can control. The rest will come.
Thank you so much for reading this! I look forward to seeing your guys’ opinions on my chances!
