Chance Me? (Pitt, Marquette, Bradley, UMKC)

My dream school is Pitt and I want to major in Political Science with a minor in Spanish and do Army ROTC (all four years) while I’m there. However, I’m a worrier and want to know if I have a chance. I’m a Junior right now.

GPA: 3.85UW, 4.0W

ACT: 28, goal is 30-32

AP Courses: AP European History, AP Psychology, AP Literature, AP Language, AP Spanish, AP Government

Clubs: HOSA, French Club, Theater, STUCO, Advisory, New Student/Incoming Freshman Welcoming Crew

Out of School: I have worked at the same place since last year and hold a leadership position while handling money and training new employees

I also successfully speak Spanish and French and my ASL skills are growing everyday.

I fear that since I don’t do any volunteer work, I’m at a disadvantage. Do I have a chance?

I got into Pitt this year as a polysci major with the same weighted GPA (mine was out of 4.3), 1410 SAT (~30/31 ACT), less APs and clubs than you, and a very similar work experience! However, know that Pitt doesn’t ask for a list of your extracurriculars, but instead gives three essay supplements in which you can explain meaningful activities/work experiences you were involved in! Also, are you in state or out of state for Pitt? I’m in state, so if you are as well you definitely have a very good chance of getting accepted!! I don’t know much about any of the other schools though.

I’m out of state so when I visited the Pitt Pathfinders that I talked to were very curious as to how I ended up 5 states over haha thank you, though. Pitt is the ultimate goal.
