Hi everyone,
I’m new to this forum but was interested to see if anyone who has been admitted/is also applying to GSE would chance me. I am graduating from community college next Spring 2019 so I would be applying early decision for Fall 2019. I am a political science major, 3.97 GPA over 30 creds, Phi Theta Kappa, Judith K Winn Honors school, News Editor for the school paper and a contributing writer. On top of that, I work 50 hours a week to support my college education. I also obtained my Paralegal license during my first semester of CC. I graduated from high school in 2015 with a 3.7 GPA and took 2 years off to work and save up money to go to college. I have an adverse background (my mother was an addict/alcoholic/abusive and I was responsible for raising my baby sister. We were poor, on the verge of homelessness countless times, etc.)
What do you think my odds are of getting in? I hope to graduate from Columbia and move on to law school for civil rights, criminal defense and immigration law.
