I love all the service, especially the Peer Mediation and Signs of Suicide. You really know how to do good. Show them that.

GPA unweighted is sweet, weighted not as sweet. Really crank this year and raise it above the 4.0 mark.

What are your recs like? Is your school known as particularly challenging? Have them emphasize any stronger aspects of the curriculum.

A private Kaplan tutor, while expensive, could really help you boost SAT scores. They only work with you on what you need help in and don’t waste your time. I improved my math 80 points, critical reading 60 points, and writing 20 points after working with one.

With all your EC’s, you should interview as much as you can to talk about what they have taught you. Stay away from any essays about football, baseball, or track, unless your approach is radically different than most sports-related essays. If you can get recruited, do so.

Nobody has a good chance at Ivies, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Applying ED to Columbia could help a bit.

You got that Brown Book award. Have you applied there, especially ED? Your chances might be slightly higher there than HYP and Columbia.

HYP are serious reaches. Still, if it’s your dream, who’s to say you shouldn’t try. Fire those apps off, and send them soon!

What are you interested in? What is your prospective major? You seem pretty well-rounded, which is fine, but you want to show them that you have goals or specific things you like most to study. Use essays/interviews to show these interests.

You really seem to have an ironclad work ethic. Emphasize that. You work full time in customer service and yet still have time to be a varsity athlete, help suicidal/fighting people, lead your class, be well rounded academically, AND get good grades/scores. You’ve proven that you can do it all. Show them this and be assertive that you can handle anything college throws at you.

Best of luck. I hope this helps. Can you chance me? I’d appreciate it. The link is below. Thanks. Peace.
