Chance Me Please I Really Need It:(

hahaa icy9ff8 there is nothing wrong with writing "sumthing" on an internet forum... and by the way I would consider saying that "People who meet with high level government officials typically do not use language from the 'hood"' Much, much more offensive than spelling something "sumthing."

come on, he used "typically". we could technically conduct a survey (first defining "high level government officials") to see whether it is typical or not for someone who meets officials to use the word "hood". statistics should never be insulting. it is similar as saying "affirmative action typically favors african americans." i dont see the offense that.

I don't know what your talking about tongchen (Toronto was not the one who used the word "hood"). I'm just saying that it's ironic that icy would criticize Toronto for writing "sumthing" when icy used the word "hood." I just see "hood" being much more controversal than "sumthing."

I'd have to disagree about needing a 2200+. Of course, if you really want a better-than-average chance, it is definitely beneficial to have an SAT score in that range, but by no means is it required. In fact, 6.5% of applicants with 1900-2090s were accepted. Yes, that's less than the average acceptance rate, but it's not 0%.

If any of this is true, I'm guessing you have a decent shot.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone in this post. I was kind of panicking and very new to CC. I just typed as any teenager would quickly, and similar to that of MSN, Facebook etc.

Yeah, and in Canada, Senators aren't really the celebrity-type as they are in America. They're pretty much regular people, unelected (democracy right?) and have mandatory retirement at age 75.

I have talked to and met PM Harper several times (dad campaigned for him long befor his was PM)

Thanks redskin

Tough work load? 3.8 GPA? No SAT II over 600?
If you consider whatever you are doing now tough and did not break 600 on any of the tests than I assure you that Princeton is not the place for you.

I question the 3.8GPA because the low SAT IIs destroy any credibility that your unknown school may have had.

Wait wait wait, international applicants HAD to write an essay about what they would do with a Harvard education on their Harvard app? Where did this come from??????????????!

Canadians don't, I'm pretty sure it said that on the supplement.
