Hi everyone. I think I have my final list of schools (just unsure about 1). I want to either go ChemE or BME, not completely sure yet. I am a Korean American from a competitive school in NY. We usually have many students go to great schools. So, this is the last time I'm going to ask to be chanced, assuming that someone responds. Thanks in advance.

6 classes in 10th, 5 classes in 11th, 7 in 12th...what the hell!?????

the last 2 are not in school. one is at a nearby college and the other im going to work on at home. and i know its weird anyway, but i wanted to try out different types of math besides calculus.

bump...anyone?

You've got a good shot at all the schools. People will probably tell you that a 3.75 is a bad gpa,but I go to a really tough school myself, and a 3.75 is very solid. All depends on luck. I'd say you're into either MIT or CAl Tech. Yale, Princeton, STanford will be reaches bc. you don't have great EC's.

at the TOP TOP TOP ivies you'll get into some, and won't into others, but as CNI said depends on luck cuz u have the #'s

ok, thanks a lot for the info. it relieved some of the uncertainty that i had.

Hm....unlike the other posters...I think I have noticed something that might hurt you. Your ECs, test scores, and GPA are fine (not great, but acceptable) However, I see a trend in your grades. You don't get A's in English or history. Also, your SAT reading and ACT English scores were low (compared to your other stats) This makes me believe that your writing probably is not that great and consequently your essays may suffer. The colleges may not care about the grades per se...but they will care if your essay sucks. So take care of those. As for individual schools:

MIT (EA)-Reach
Caltech (EA maybe)-High Match (great math science stuff)
Cornell-High Match
Johns Hopkins-Match
Princeton-Reach
Yale-Reach
Carnegie Mellon-Match
Duke-High Match
Northwestern-High Match
RPI-Safety
Stanford (maybe)-Reach
