Chance me, please? I would appreciate it!

I am a current junior. White male, but technically Arab-American. Interested in engineering, public policy, various other subjects/ careers.

This is the only college I care about getting into. I'm extremely nervous about getting in. GA Tech superscores test scores.

My school does not rank, but it's a highly competitive private school in GA.

Superscored SAT: 2150
Math: 780
Reading: 720
Writing: 650

(Will take again in October)

ACT Superscored Cumulative: 32
Writing: 35
Math: 31
Science: 30
Reading 31

Cumulative GPA 3.55 UW
Weighted GPA of approximately 3.75
Steep upward trend from 3.36 to 3.93 over the years

Maximum number of AP classes taken.
Did not take advanced mathematics classes, but all core AP Sciences have been taken or will be taken senior year.

Plenty of community service work, 120+ hours I think. Starting my own charity that sells artwork to fund a local autism foundation.

ECs include:
JV Soccer (1 Year)
Varsity Letter in Track and Field (2 Years)
Model Arab League
(Planning on Varsity Tennis)

Additional info:
Have lived in six countries (US, Germany, South Korea, Vietnam, India, Thailand)
Fluent in German, but took French in school to learn a third language.
Personal issues in 9th/10th grade kept my head out of school, made making good grades a little tougher

I'm awfully desperate at this point. I don't care if it's good news or bad news, I just want to know where I stand. Thanks.

Test scores are good enough. Grades may be a concern. Continue to improve. Need to get your counselor to convey your early high school personal issues to the GT Admissions Counselor or make it part of your essay.

I think I don’t really agree with bulldog4 (what a name to post in the GT thread …?? LOL).

I would expect you to be in! Yes, your GPA is not perfect, however if it’s true what you say about your trend, then it should be an easy decision, in particular with your very good SAT scores - congrats!
Your personal background sounds interesting enough, and your ECs seem to be quite unique, too (selling artwork to support your own charity)!

Just make sure that you write convincing essays - make them personal! And it might help if you could explain your ‘low’ GPA and the grade-trend (without it sounding like a cheap excuse).

Over all - you’re in if your essays are at least ‘ok’.
