You have very strong EC’s. It seems like you’re definitely passionate about both swimming and orchestra, which should help your Penn app. The only thing holding you back right now would be your SAT and SAT II scores. If you can get at least 2200+ on them, Penn should be a low reach.

What’s your UW GPA?

UNC - High/Mid Match
UVA - High Match
Penn - Reach

thanks chanced both of you!! @bigkev…i’ve been trying to figure out my unweighted GPA…my weighted is actually higher than what i said so i believe my unweighted is still around a 4.0, or very close.

Penn is definitely a reach, UNC is probably a match, and UVA is a low reach. I believe OOS is actually fairly difficult and your SAT score is significantly sub par. It is also difficult to asses GPA without knowing weighting and course difficulty etc. Allow me to help you calculate your GPA. For my system our grades go A 100-93 (4.0), A- 93-90 (3.7), B+ 90- 87 (3.3), B 87-83 (3). I assume your grades don’t go lower than that. Just add up your grades for each class and divide by the number of classes. Good luck with apps!
If you feel truly possessed, you can easily find my chances thread, which could probably use some updating :p.

I had a friend that graduated last year and got into UNC, he had similar stats, I think only diff was that he was pres of key club, and had a slightly higher sat score than u =)

Very good ECs! Just like everyone else said, you’d do amazing at UPenn if you brought up those SAT scores a bit.
The internship is pretty cool! I’m doing one right now for an Ohio congresswoman, but in her district as opposed to in DC. I hope it works for me ;)

wow i wish i had your credentials. i’m sure you’ll get into all of the schools your applying to. your a semi finalist so thats scholarship jackpot for you, a 4.0 gpa and great sats wil help you so much.
