<p>Hey guys, if you could chance me it will be greatly appreciated =). </p>

<p>Major: probably Engineering or something science related
Colleges:
Georgia Tech (instate, really close by)
Duke University (why not?)
UC Berkeley
Emory University
UNC
Georgetown
MIT (miracle?) </p>

<p>GPA: 4.0 unweighted, not sure what it is weighted but probably around 5 or so</p>

<p>rank: 6/233 </p>

<p>Sat: 2020 (first attempt) with more study I should be able to get at least a 2150 </p>

<p>AP classes so far:
Sophomore:AP Euro (5), AP Chem (4), AP Spanish (2) (fail of a class... )
Junior: AP Calc BC, AP Physics C, AP US, AP Lang</p>

<p>Projected senior course load:
AP Macroeconomics
AP comp sci
AP bio
Calc 2 (dual enroll)
Calc 3 (dual enroll)
AP gov
Lit honors
random fun classes</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Varsity cross country
Varsity Track
National Honors Society (will be officer next year hopfully)
Beta Club (will be officer next year)
Intern at a University of Georgia nanotech lab
Triathlon club (secretary)
Spanish Honors society
More but don't have time to list all </p>

<p>Volunteer: around 370 hours (volunteer internship, tutoring, etc) </p>

<p>Income: <80,000 (5 in my family) </p>

<p>I am not sure about my recommendations or essays yet. </p>

<p>If you guys could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I know my SAT kinda sucks for all the classes i'm taking so thats what im trying to improve. </p>

<p>I would appreciated if you guys would explain your responses if possible and also feel free to chance me for other colleges not mentioned on the list! </p>

<p>Great GPA. Just work on the SAT a little, You have solid ECs, and if you write great essays you will be a good candidate for a lot of schools you are applying to.

<p>wow GA Tech a safety! no way! I actually had doubts of being able to get in. Thanks for boosting my confidence haha. I live in a pretty rural place and most people here go to community college and the really smart ones usually end up at UGA. Will colleges consider that?</p>
