Do these things happen in Tallahassee ?

Yes - Cold to me is under 50 degrees (this is hardly cold)
Yes - Cold to me is wearing a heavy jacket (layering works better - get some long underwear. You’ll never be cold again.)
Yes - Cold to me is not able to go swimming during December (one can always go swimming - the sinks are always about 70 degrees)
Yes - Cold to me is seeing ice on the windshield of my car (Frost and ice happen, but I never saw the roads freeze like up north)
Do these things happen in Tallahassee ? Yes!

You just described the weather anywhere in Florida during winter, much less in Tallahassee.

You have a good shot at getting in, but if the weather is going to be too cold for you, I think you’re looking for the University of Hawaii.

Last winter, the temperature dipped below 30 a few times, and we had a few highs under 50. Tallahassee does get a LOT colder than south Florida, and is also quite a bit colder than Central Florida.

You will likely be admitted with those stats.

Thanks for all the reply and do all the dorms/buildings
have both a/c & heat ? ( just to make my mom feel ok )

FSU’s dorms all have heat and a/c, but your mom isn’t allowed to live in the dorms!

^ lol
