<p>I want to apply to U of M-Ann Arbor as well as Georgetown and George Washington University, and I am tempted to apply to MIT, even though that's an instant denied application with my less than stellar GPA. </p>

<p>Are you in-state? If so, I think UMichigan is a high match, and that MSU is more of a match. Georgetown and GWU are reaches, and MIT is an enormous reach.</p>

<p>I agree with smart.cookie, he usually has pretty good answers to these chances threads. The only thing I might add is that GWU is possibly a high match for you, or only a slight reach. I think you've got a good chance there.</p>

<p>Yeah, I guess that is true. GWU isn't as competitive as Georgetown. What is the intended major? If it is international relations, GWU will be a little more difficult.</p>
