<p>I want to go to MIT or Princeton. I am currently a sophomore at one of the best high schools in my state. I think we rank 8th or something, but I know we just won a silver medal again this year. I have a 4.0 GPA and this will probably increase because of weighed grades next year when I am allowed to take AP classes. </p>

<p>I played softball since I was 6 and I played in 9th grade
I joined the swim team instead my 10th grade year and I plan to continue this until I graduate.
I will be a member of NHS in both my 11th and 12th grade year. I am working towards the Cum Laude award.
I do A LOT of volunteer work with autistic children, averaging 1 to 2 hours per day during the swimming off season
I have been involved in Girl Scouts since 1st grade, and I am working on my Gold Award
I have been a tutor at my school since freshman year
I am involved in art
Quiz bowl and art club freshman year, I would have continued these but they were disbanned due to budget cuts.
I play guitar in a band and we play Battle of the Bands at our school
This summer I will hopefully be participating in a summer program at MSU's cyclotron-- (an atom smasher) (called PAN)</p>

<p>You’re a sophomore–no need to worry about chances right now. Just focus on your schoolwork, find something that you really love and get a leadership position in it–your ECs are good, and the atom smasher thing is pretty cool, but remember that thousands of students will be applying to the top schools and you need something that will make you stand out. I would also suggest taking AP Spanish your senior year instead of the second AP biology lol. Last of all, have fun!! Enjoy high school, there’s a lot more to it than just getting good grades and doing every EC you can find</p>
