Your ap’s should help you all over, especially with your intended major. The only schools I can really give a good estimate on are Penn St. and Purdue, and it looks like you should be in at both. The only thing holding you back would probably be your gpa, but they’ll understand your school’s rigor, and make sure you talk about your parents divorce as a tough situation that contributed to the poor marks, I think you’ll be alright.

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1338240-chance-me-uofm-purdue-cmu-georgia-tech-uiuc.html</a></p>

I agree that your business-related APs and ECs will really put you close to the top at a lot of colleges.
I know for a fact that Northeastern has considerably higher acceptance rates for EA applicants, so you have a good shot there. Regarding Penn St. and Fordham, you are almost certain of getting in.
If your private school is really as competitive as you say it is, and you had family trouble, your low-ish GPA might be overlooked some. Just be sure to get the same message across clearly to the Admission Officers, and you could perhaps ask your teachers and counselors to include this in your recommendation letters.

In agreement with the other posters, your ECs and class load looks very good and shows interest for business. However, your GPA and SATs are a bit low. Also, I’m not sure how admissions treats international students. I’m sure you have a good chance at all of your schools, especially the ED and EA ones.

Chance me back please?

i think that you will most certainly get into all of them

return the favor?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1334048-chances-northwestern-please.html</a></p>

Learning a difficult language such as Chinese can definitely work to your advantage especially if you mention it in your college essay somehow. Your SAT score is pretty solid, so I do not see you having trouble getting into most of those schools. For Purdue and North Eastern, you may want to higher your SAT score just a bit to ensure a more enriched scholarship and guarantee admission.

bump time! please chance me!

bbbbummmmpppppp

Good chances at most. If you can effectively explain your low gpa well, the fact your school is so well regarded will help you in the admissions process.

High Match- low reach for almost all of them. Think about applying to one or two more safety’s?

Chance me?

ashiej7: i already chanced you on your old thread earlier

The good thing is that you are extremely diverse. Based on what I’ve heard, diversity is one of the key things colleges across the globe look for apart from grades. Colleges are meant to be centers for learning, variety and interesting people. Based on what you’ve told me, you have certain qualities that are completely unique to you as a person, and I’d say not to worry about your GPA too much; if you can sell your more interesting characteristics well, I have a feeling most colleges will be able to overlook some of your shortcomings, which to be honest, you really don’t have many. Good luck :)

Now could you gimme your honest opinion?

bump (only 11 replies after over 550 views with some of the replies being mine? come on CC, we all know you can do better, that’s only a 1.8% reply rate :frowning: )

Curious as how to how your parents’ divorce affected you…

You have a pretty good chance at all. Purdue may be less of a chance: but still a good chance!
Chance me back? :)

Without comprehensive knowledge of most of your choices, I would say that your stats/explanation put you in a good spot for all of them. You obviously have a clear business focus, which will be valued if you intend to major in that area.

Your extra-circulars are a bit generic, but the service trips, assuming you can express them well (essay?) can be very unique. The two leadership positions will also help.

All in all, good chance. Chance back?
