I plan to major in the field of Business, so Marketing/Finance/International Business, basically anything that has to do with business.

Okay, now I know I'm being ambitious, but I'm aiming for Stern Business School (NYU) for Early Decision. Stern would be the biggest dream come true. I know my SAT scores are really low, but for some reason, I'm not a good test taker. Could y'all please chance me? I also plan to apply to UofMichigan, UofVirginia, Georgetown, Emory, Fordham and Rutgers/GW/BU are my backup. PLEASE let me know if my list is realistic. I would seriously appreciate it. Also, feel free to recommend me any colleges that are suitable given my stats. I'm looking at colleges on the East Coast, preferably. I would love to know more about the colleges I'm applying to, so if you have any info/review/facts about them, feel free to share!

Thanks a ton, seriously :)

Please help!

Please help!

Stern is going to be a reach for you since most of the American top business schools seem to favor applicants that are much better test-takers. So I’d say that your list only seems to contain reaches. If I didn’t know better, I could have put Rutgers as the only non-reach in your list but business at Rutgers seems to be more selective than any other undergraduate major.

But HEC Montreal seems to be an acceptable alternative since it’s SAT-optional (i.e. you can even decide not to send in a SAT score if you applied at HEC Montreal) If you can study AP-level French and be fine in it, I think you can go at HEC and be just fine, even in the bilingual plan. Plus it’s one of the best SAT-optional business schools within reach and enjoys a reputation close to what reputation Stern has.

Thanks Catria!
The thing is, HEC looks interesting but I’m only applying to the States. Are there any other alternatives? How’s NYU CAS compared to Stern?

Anyone else?
