<p>Hey guys! Please chance me for the following schools. I personally am looking for a school that has great programs on business/international studies, so any recommendations on other schools are greatly welcomed! Thank you!</p>

<p>Volunteer (consistent/significant ones):
Tutor Math and Biology Year-Round for 3 Years (100+ Hrs)
Went to Costa Rica during summer and helped a village improve their facilities, etc.
Help out the AP Institute during summers</p>

Planning on getting 3 really good rec letters this fall from IB/AP English teacher, AP Calc teacher, and IB/AP Spanish teacher.</p>

<p>Although I am not very familiar with the IB program, it seems like your course rigor is very impressive and your grades are great! The biggest thing you have to worry about is your SAT score. Also, your geographic diversity (WA) gives you a slight advantage…especially because a lot of students in that area do not have a course load as rigorous as yours. However, I do not see a focus in your ECs. I realize that’s a hard thing to accomplish but it’s something to concentrate on. However, great job with “battling political apathy”…that sounds like an interesting EC. I would say that if you get your SAT score up you will have an amazing chance and I would advise looking at schools even more selective than what you currently listed. I know that HYPS are a long shot for everyone but you may have the stats. </p>

<p>The Huntsman program is extremely difficult for anyone. USC and UW Honors should be pretty easy to get into, and UChicago and Berkeley seem good matches. The others are tough for anyone but your application will certainly get a second and third look. Best of luck!</p>

<p>You look like you have a pretty good chance in those schools. Your SATs aren’t going to hurt you, but they’re not going to help you much either. Still, with everything else you look like you have a good chance!</p>

<p>You have an extremely impressive rank, GPA, and level of course rigor. Unfortunately, your SAT I scores will do nothing in the application process to improve your chances. Your SAT IIs are very good, as are your ECs. WIth your SAT I scores as they currently stand Wharton, Stanford, and Columbia will be your biggest reaches, but assuming your ACT scores are 34+ or you improve your SAT I and write solid essays and recs they are all certainly within grasp for you. You should definitely be fine with UW and USC, Cornell NYU and Berkeley should all be acceptances, and the rest are reaches, but you definitely have a good chance. Good luck!</p>

<p>Thanks guys. I was also wondering…if I get a 34+ on my ACT, will top colleges ponder why my SAT scores are pretty low while my ACT scores are pretty high? Or will they just take my ACT score and ignore my SAT since a 34 ACT > 2190 SAT?</p>

<p>I think, with that 35 especially, Stanford is a definite possibility. I think you could definitely get in if you did REA there. Columbia is your other reach and I think if you did ED there it could def be more than possible that you are accepted. You are easily in everywhere else so you might as well just apply RD to all the other schools.</p>
