<p>Sounds like you have a lot of competitive qualities both academic and personal. You’ve taken good classes, achieved highly in high school and on the ACT, and obtained leadership positions in your extracurricular organizations. We would definitely consider you someone we hope to see in our applicant pool and someone who has qualities indicative of the kind of students we often admit to W&M.</p>
<p>I didn’t see foreign language mentioned among the classes you’ve taken. Did you reach the fourth level of one? If not, you might want to explain why.</p>
<p>We always remind students that we admit only 32% of those who apply (and about 27% of the out-of-state students) so we have to turn away a lot of qualified students who have done absolutely nothing wrong. It’s simply a reflection of the strength of our pool and the small number of students we can admit each year.</p>
<p>We also encourage you to take advantage of any portions of the application (art submission, optional submission, interview, etc) to tell us as much about yourself as possible.</p>
