Chance me please :)

Hi :)

I know this is getting somewhat annoying from everyone wanting to know, but please chance me! First off, I’m Asian. Which may or may not make a difference? My dream school is UC Davis and I feel like I’m not up to par with anyone else. My SAT and grades aren’t very high because of my competitive school and because I don’t test well, but I feel like my extracurriculars are very good considering everything else.

I’m applying for a Nutrition Science major with an alternate major in Food Science at UC Davis. I hear that it’s well known for those. Is that harder or easier considering what I have?

As of right now, I have a 3.4 unweighted and a 3.6 weighted GPA. For the SAT I recieved a 1540 (Critical Reading: 510, Math: 510, Writing: 500) and a 22 composite score (English: 23, Math: 21, Reading: 23, Science: 21, Combined English and Writing: 25) on the SAT (which is about the same)

Anyway, here are my stats:

Please chance me for this! Thanks, I really appreciate it :D

It’s definitely gonna be tough with the significantly below SAT score. Your weighted UC GPA is actually around a 3.4ish which is also pretty low. Your ECs seem to be quite diversified but what really depends is on the commitment and dedication you showed in each activity. Personal statements, if done correctly, WILL give you a big boost though. Since Davis is well known for its agricultural studies, I’m guessing that Nutrition science is kind of impacted…

I’d say you have a 30%-40% shot. Good luck! :)
