Personal Statement:
I talked about my dad's bypass surgery that happened when I was in 8th grade and how it really forced me to become the man of the house and learn responsibilities to take care of my sister and my mom while my dad was recovering.

Short Response:
I talked about how I was born in a foreign country but raised in the US and how my ability to adapt to different cultures can contribute to UW's diversity.

I am also an instate student, if that helps...does it really? Or do they want more OOS students because it brings in more money. I am pretty worried right now because my sister graduated from UW Seattle and I really want to go there too! Best school in Washington in my opinion.
