Chance me Please

My GPA is 3.34
Major is Econ
applied : UCLA, UCI, UCSD, UCR

No Tag (missed the date)

a lot of work experience.

I know i have no chance at UCLA.

Thanks in advance.

UCLA is a no.

UCI and UCSD is a maybe (This is where TAG would of turned it into a yes)

UCR is yes.

UCSD: slight reach

UCI: you have a chance

UCR: should be no problem

thank you guys.
hope i can get in to UCSD or UCI.

Good luck, I only said maybe because of last-years admissions. Every year is different.

is economics impacted at UCI and UCSD?
I know business administration is impacted at uci and maybe management science at UCSD.

I say you apply to as many UCs as you can. You never know where you could be accepted.

it is because the fee waiver applies to 4 UC schools.
backup is ucr, hopefully get in to uci or ucsd. (uci over ucsd because i live in oc).

Your stats are so similar to mine! I applied to UCSD as well but tagged to Davis. I’m almost certainly choosing Davis because it’s 15 mins from me but UCSD has a great econ program. I think you have a decent shot at all of them but highly unlikely you’ll get into UCLA (econ avg gpa is 3.92).

what is your stat? did you also apply to uci?
hope you didn’t. lol.
less competition is always better.

3.37 but my GPA was ~2.5 in 2010, 3.8ish in 2011, 4.0 in 2012. Diagnosed with an illness in 2010. I didn’t apply to UCI but I do like UCI’s location. Close enough to LA where you’ll have a lot of internship/recruiting opportunities. Did you apply to biz econ or normal econ for UCI?

I started out with 2.0 and now 3.34
I took 2 classes in 2006 summer 2Cs , and 2 classes in 2010 summer 2 Bs.
In 2012 spring 3As, 2012 summer 2As, 2012 fall 2As and 1 B.
planning to take 4 classes this spring.
on the application, i put i had 5 year gap in education. technically it is 4 years. anyway, who cares.

Very good upward trend, I think it’ll help in admissions. Good luck =)
