I'm also African American and applied for the bio program

I’m not so sure about this. Your GPA and ACT are unimpressive by UCONN standards, but your extracurriculars are strong and a well-written essay will help as well. I’d call it a high match to low reach, depending on your weighted GPA.

i dont think you will be accepted, but worth a shot

I would not say you don’t have a shot. I was accepted just last week with a 3.19 GPA, though I did have a 2200 SAT. My extracurriculars were very close to yours too though.
They might let you in to one of the other campuses besides Storrs, though I do think you have a chance at Storrs as well. Are you from in state as well? My guidance counselor told me that boosts your odds, though I hear some people say it makes them worse. It helped mine so don’t give up hope:)

Like what everyone else said, your GPA and test scores are on the lower end of the spectrum but your extracurriculars are really good.

I would say yes, especially since you already got into Fairfield U.

If I got in, you probably will too.
Best of luck.
