Chance me, please.

Hey everyone :), I now its a bit early, but I am so excited about applying to college this fall. I am planning to applying to

University of Florida

Florida State University

University of Notre Dame

University of Virginia

Emory University

University of Southern California

UNC at Chappel Hill

I was also thinking of maybe applying to some ivies (Columbia, Princeton, Cornell) and Stanford. Should I? I have limited funds for the college application process and don't really want to spend it on a collection of rejection letters.

Here are my Stats

GPA: 3.4 (unweighted, on 4.0 scale); 6.2 (weighted)
SAT I: 2100
SAT II: USH (700), Biology E (680), Math I (580, as you can see math is not my fort

I forgot to mention: I will me studying for the SAT over the summer and fall, hopefully I can get my SAT score up in order to make up for my low unweighted GPA.

Someone chance me :)

bump bump
please

UF: match
FSU: low match/safety
UND: Reach
UVA: Reach
Emory: High Match
UNC: Reach (High Match if in state)
USC: High Match

try to get your SAT up, probably should have taken the ACT

Also, are you sure you can afford some of the schools you are considering?

Need more safeties/matches. Very top heavy considering your UW GPA

Thanks!
I have taken the ACT but I scored so horrible that I thought it would be pointless to mention it (25 composite :). I will be working on raising my SAT score. I have already purchased several SAT prep books that I have already started working on and will be working on over the summer and early fall. I will reconsider and reorganize the schools I am applying to, will add some more safeties and matches. I was thinking about the University of Texas Austin and Texas A&M. Thanks so much :).

You did perform much better in SAT than in ACT, however, that low ACT score may indicate there is not much room for improvement in your SAT. Nevertheless, you should definitely work hard in the summer and try to retake it in Fall. Your GPA is fairly low though, but it may too late to have any significant change in it before application now. Your school list is fine with some reach and enough matches, but you may want to add another safety to it.

Thanks for the advice. I have made a list of schools that I am applying for sure this fall.
