I graduated to class XII this year.
My class XI percentage was quiet low(78%) (the student who got 83% topped in
our section, I stood 3rd). Low percentage was due to JEE Advanced preparation.
I will improve my percentage this year(Aiming for 90%+) .Also, I am constantly getting 2300 +
on my mock SATs. I will take the SAT this June.

1.I have won many debates during 9th and 10th.
2.I am the president of the programming club of my school.
3.I made it to the top 100 of Young Genius Physics Olympiad.
4.I am working on an Android app which I will publish soon.
5.I helped in organizing plantation drives and cataract surgery camps last year during
my summer vacations.
6.I was part of a team that stood 4th in Green-I Contest conducted by Confederation of
Indian Industry's Young Indians.
7.I have a good reputation in school, so I expect good lors from the teachers.
8.I am giving 2 APs ( Physics C:Mechanics, Calculus BC) this May on which I expect a 4 or 5 in each.
9.In sports- i once got a gold in karate at a competition and i also did a lot of skating in classes VI to IX (in short-
no extraordinary achievements in sports.)

Could you suggest some safety colleges that I should apply to?
Also, what are my chances at Cornell??.....any ivy???

I’d suggest looking at some decent state schools as safeties, including UCs, UTs, among others. It ultimately depends on what you want to major in, although weather preferences can be a factor as well.

@jobuddy
If I may ask, the interviewer of which college was impressed?
I am sorry. I din’t know that YGPT was conducted by IAPT;I assumed that it was just another olympiad.

@dhrazz my decision would solely depend on which university offers me the best financial aid. since my parents annual income is just 5 k , I need a full ride. so USA is pretty long shot for me.
