Hi. I'm a junior in high school and I really want to go to UW. I've messed up in my PreCal class (I failed it) and I'm scared I won't get accepted. I usually get a 3.4-3.6 GPA nearly every semester and I'm a full IB student. I've taken full honors classes in freshman and sophomore year.
My classes this year and next year are:
This year:
Spanish 3 SL
Lang&Lit HL 1,2
Math Studies SL 1,2
Biology Sl/HL 1,2
History of the Americas HL 1,2
Chemistry SL1,2
Next year:
Spanish 4
Lang lit 3,4 Hl
Math Studies 3,4
Biology 3,4 HL
TOK
History of the Americas 3,4 Hl

I have a 1700 SAT score, which I plan on raising to at least an 1850-1900. I am also in newspaper and service clubs.
Thank you!

what are you interested in studying? If you are aiming toward science then i doubt you have a good shot. Is there a chance to retake your precal class and pass it with a good score?

I am going to assume you are applying for UW Seattle. Your course load is good and your SAT scores are pretty average for their typical admit. Based on those factors, plus your GPA, I would say you have a better chance than your typical applicant (assuming you are out of state, if you’re an in state resident, different story). Bring your GPA up a bit and take your application seriously. I would call UW just a bit above what you should consider a safety school.
