Chance me please?

I know that it is impossible to tell whether or not I will be accepted to high ranked schools, but if anyone could suggest anything to help me improve my chances that would be great.

I’m in 11th grade at a DoDEA school.
After this semester my GPA will be a 3.9UW and 4.3W.
I’ve taken all honors classes(4) at my school (only history and English) and now I’m taking 4 APs (I took APStats last year).
Rank:1 or 2/80

This year I received my first 2 Bs on my report card in two AP classes that are extremely difficult, how will this appear to admissions counselors?

I’m looking at schools like Barnard, USMA, Brown, and small liberal arts schools. What are my chances at these?

@b3happy - 1850 on the SAT would be considered low for the top colleges, but you have time to do something about that. Regarding the Bs in AP classes - top colleges would like to see As, but if you can get As in those classes the second semester, and follow up with 5s on the AP exams, I imagine they would be more likely to forgive the Bs.

If you are a strong athlete, you might want to investigate if any of these schools would be interested in you as a recruited athlete - then your odds would be much improved. FYI, there’s a whole forum on CC dedicated to that: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/athletic-recruits/

Possible major? What was your grade on the AP Stats exam, and what is your schedule this year in terms of classes?

Barnard: High match (match if you can get the SAT score up)
Brown: Low-mid reach
USMA: Not sure… I’d say reach (?)
Small liberal arts schools: Depends on whether they’re top tier ones or mid tier ones
