since the beginning of high school my only dream for college was to get into UW. I have heard from various sources that my chance ranges from maybe to shoe-in, so another opinion would be nice. My stats are:
In-state
GPA (cumulative): 3.64
- My schools doesn’t weigh AP classes, I’ve taken 3, but if they did I would have a 3.75
ACT: 27( im gonna be retaking this soon an am aiming for a 30 or 29)
EC’s/ Activities: - President of GSA from sophomore to senior year ( the club started in my sophomore year)
- Vice president of community service club from sophomore to senior year.
-members of both our schools technology club and environmentalist club (not very active in both tbh) - member of Teen Council, a program run by Planned Parenthood where teens are trained to teach sexual education to high school health classes, this is a competitive program to get into and is my favorite activity which I’ll probably write about in my application.
- I have a job at Mcdonalds
- also this isn’t an activity but I am openly gay and plan to write about that in my application
That’s pretty much it for me. I have been dreaming about attending the University of Washington for as long as I can remember and it would be a huge let down if i got rejected, but I’ll accept whatever comes my way. Thanks for the replies
