Chance me please

I’m an Asian male in 11th grade from Illinois in a high ranking selective enrollment high school, I’ve been freaking out due to my GPA as it’s the one thing I messed up and figured that I needed someone to tell me my chances.

Potential Major: Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
UW GPA: 3.05
All my courses are honors and I have taken AP Physics 1, AP Microeconomics, and AP Calculus BC and I have gotten Bs in all of them.

Sports:
Soccer for 3 years

Clubs:
Science Olympiad
“Equipment Specialist” in the Aquarium Club
Captain on a competitive robotics team
Tech Crew (we repair school computers)

Scores:
ACT: 31 ~ Math: 34 , Science: 28, Grammar: 29, Reading: 33, essay was a 18
SAT 1390 ~ Math: 720, English: 670
My school doesn’t have a ranking

EC:
I was offered an internship at my county’s treasury
Volunteer at a local soccer organization as a referee for 8 years

I was really hoping to get into an engineering program in college however I messed up and my GPA is bad. I was seeing if I could still make it into the schools I want to apply to with my current level, I have some ECs but nothing special compared to my friends. My sister went to UIUC but since they are public I doubt the care about legacy

Applying to:
UIUC school of engineering (dream school)
Rutgers
Swarthmore
Case Western
Drexel
Purdue
Georgia Tech
Ohio State
Virginia Tech

Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech will definitely be hard. As for the others, try to improve your GPA as much as you can during the first half of your senior year and you could have better chances for the others.

Your GPA may be too low for UIUC engineering even from in state.

I agree, your GPA is on the low side for UIUC engineering. UIC is a better bet and if you want to stay in Illinois, Illinois Tech might be a decent fit for you as it is the same type of school as Drexel or Case.
