American University
Brandeis University
Dickinson College
Franklin & Marshall College

Muhlenberg College
Penn State - University Park
University of Pittsburgh
George Washington University
University of Rochester
Tufts University

University of Pennsylvania (I have the music hook...talking with the department head right now...who knows...maybe they need a trombone. That combined with legacy & stuff could push me in. I know it's a long shot, but I'm counting on connections and music to JUST maybe allow an underqualified person such as myself to slide in...)

Oh come on! Please chance me...

HeavenWood, take it easy, because you're not even finished with your Junior year, yet. Remember, you'll never know your chances until you actually 'apply', and remember that we're merely speculating, and we're not the ones deciding whether or not you're going to get into a certain school or not. Also, remember, WHEREVER you decide to attend school, it is going to take a good deal of work, at times, to be successful there. Prestige is nice, and I got into some prestigious schools myself, but developing the discipline to succeed is even more important. Discipline and focus is what separates the lawyer from the paralegal, the dentist from the dental hygienist, and the pharmacist from the pharmacy technician. Peace!

you have a shot at all the schools listed and most are quite realistic. Upenn is a reach but def. worth trying for! Good luck!

Anyone else?

Bump......

hmm, you get more Bs than As, though chance getting into ANY good college... Don't think the fact that you get much more Bs than As will allow you to get into UPENN (an ivy league) despite having connections...

ALL people who go to ivies (unless they were a prodigy at something) get more As than Bs... Its the truth

Tough chance getting into ANY good college? Excuse me? I'm taking all honors and advanced placement classes. American University, Dickinson College, Franklin & Marshall College, Lafayette College, Muhlenberg College, Penn State - University Park, University of Pittsburgh, George Washington University, and the University of Rochester are all GOOD schools. They all are either safeties, safe matches, or matches. I'll probably get into most (if not all) of them.

And you're wrong about "ALL people who go to ivies [...] get more As than Bs..."

While the vast majority of ivy-leaguers have near-perfect grades, my great music talents, legacy, and family connections to Penn (father is a good friend with the Dean of fine arts, I'm related to the husband of the former Dean of admissions, my grandfather has MANY political connections that can be used to his advantage). These are all factors that can help get me in.

Realistic list.

Thank you. I recognize that Penn is a super reach, Tufts a reach, and Brandeis a slight reach. However, I should have great chances at the other schools.

Anyone else...?

MontCo for you :P

They all seem like safety/matches for you except Tufts might be a minor reach.
