<p>HeavenWood, I could have sworn you were at least a college student! You seem so educated on colleges. And we're both URochester applicants with practically the same SAT composite and I'm a trombone player too!!!</p>

<p>Well with my limitted knowledge it looks like Rochester should take you. Your stats are in line with or maybe a little above what I think they usually take, but there's always some spontaneity (they rejected a valedictorian with good sats from our schools a few years back).</p>

<p>They probably thought he was using it as a safety school. I didnt apply early, but I interviewed, which is important to them I think.</p>

<p>I dunno about that safety part. I think it was rather cuz he didn't have that many ECs. It's not like he had a 2400 sat or anything, and our val last year got in and went there. If they did think that, they were wrong. The poor guy only applied to a couple of places as far as I can tell and ended up at a little-known lac (hartwick college, i think).</p>
